Privacy policy
We never sell candidate or employer data. Data is used to run matching, applications, optional billing, and support.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide when creating a profile, applying for a role, or posting a job. This includes your name, email address, work history, skills, links such as GitHub, LinkedIn, portfolio, and any content you submit as part of the application process.
We also collect usage data to improve our service, including pages visited, features used, and performance metrics. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
How we use your information
Profile data is used to generate qualitative fit signals, match you with relevant roles, and surface your application to employers. Employer data is used to structure role postings and match them to qualified candidates.
AI-generated fit signals and role structures are computed on your data. These signals are informational review prompts. Hiring decisions remain the responsibility of the employer.
Data sharing
Candidate profiles are shared with employers when you apply to their role. Basic profile details such as name, title, and top skills may be shown to employers in aggregate shortlists before a direct application.
We use third-party services including Supabase for database, Resend for email, Stripe for optional paid support payments, and Vercel for hosting. These services receive only the data required to operate their function.
Data retention
Active accounts retain data until account deletion is requested. Deleted accounts have personal data removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Application records may be retained for up to 12 months to support dispute resolution and compliance.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at privacy@appliedhire.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents have additional rights under CCPA. EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR. We honor these rights globally where technically feasible.
